Terms and Conditions

The Hidden ParlourEffective date: [insert effective date]

These terms apply when you use The Hidden Parlour venue or website, make an enquiry or booking, or attend restaurant dining and in-person Offline Poker experiences, including the Card Lounge, Card Room and Poker Tables. They are intended to support a respectful, safe and enjoyable visit. Please read them before making arrangements or attending an activity.

01

Dining reservations and requests

Reservation requests and confirmation

The Hidden Parlour offers restaurant dining by reservation and enquiry. A request for a table, group visit or attendance arrangement is not confirmed until the venue provides confirmation through its nominated method, [insert nominated confirmation method]. Where requested, please provide accurate contact details, group information and any other details needed to consider your request. Availability may change before confirmation, and a request does not reserve a space simply because it has been submitted.

  1. Check the details in any confirmation you receive and tell the venue promptly if something is incorrect.
  2. Provide a contact method that can reasonably be used for booking-related updates.
  3. Only rely on a booking once its relevant details have been confirmed by the venue.

Changes, cancellations and arrival

If your plans change, please notify The Hidden Parlour as soon as practicable. Any cancellation requirements, group conditions, late-arrival arrangements or other booking-specific terms shown during the relevant booking process form part of that booking. Where a notice period applies, it will be identified as [insert applicable notice requirement] rather than assumed from these general terms.

To help the venue manage a considered dining experience, visitors should:

  • advise of changes to guest numbers or timing when prompted or when they become known;
  • use the applicable booking route to cancel or amend an arrangement where available; and
  • check any confirmed booking information for arrival guidance and conditions specific to the visit.

Groups, dietary needs and special requests

The Hidden Parlour welcomes groups and corporate guests. Special requests, accessibility needs and dietary information should be shared when prompted or through [insert group booking contact process]. The venue will consider the information provided, but a request is not guaranteed unless it is expressly confirmed. For group arrangements, please keep the venue informed of material changes so that requested spaces, guest details and service needs can be reviewed in context.

  • Include relevant dietary information for the guests concerned.
  • Describe accessibility or seating needs clearly enough for the venue to consider them.
  • Do not treat an unconfirmed preference as an agreed arrangement.
02

Offline Poker, Card Lounge and Poker Tables

The Hidden Parlour hosts in-person Offline Poker Nights, social card evenings and Card Lounge experiences. The following terms help explain the scope of those hosted, social activities and the shared responsibilities that support a comfortable session.

Offline Poker scope and definitions

Offline Poker
Hosted, social and in-person card experiences conducted at the venue, subject to reasonable host directions and any session guidance presented for attendance.
Card Lounge
The intimate venue setting used for selected social card experiences and associated guest participation.
Card Room
A private or designated card-focused space that may be available as part of a confirmed arrangement.
Poker Tables
Dedicated tables made available for relevant hosted card sessions, where access is managed by the venue.

Published session details and participation guidance may change. Please check the relevant event or booking information before attending, and do not assume a particular table, format, timing or place will be available unless it has been confirmed.

Participation and entry requirements

Offline Poker is intended to be approachable for beginners as well as guests familiar with social card evenings. Participants must meet any applicable legal and venue entry requirements, including [insert applicable age and entry requirement]. Beginner-friendly hosting does not remove each visitor’s responsibility to read relevant guidance, ask for clarification where needed and participate considerately.

  • Follow reasonable directions from hosts and venue staff during a session.
  • Review any disclosed requirements before deciding to attend.
  • Raise questions early if participation guidance is unclear.
  • Respect that hosts may manage the pace and flow of a shared card experience.

Card Lounge and Poker Tables access

Seating, table access, session format and timing may be managed for safety, comfort and operational needs. The Card Lounge, Card Room and Poker Tables are shared physical spaces, so access may be adjusted to help keep an experience workable for the guests present.

The venue may reasonably decline, pause or end participation where directions are not followed or where continuing would affect the comfort, safety or operation of the space.

03

Conduct, safety and shared space

Respectful conduct

The Hidden Parlour brings together restaurant dining, Offline Poker and social card evenings for diners, beginners, groups and corporate guests. Everyone shares responsibility for an experience that is welcoming and workable. Please treat staff and other guests with courtesy, follow reasonable directions and use each venue space in a way that allows others to enjoy it.

  • Speak and act respectfully toward staff, hosts, companions and other guests.
  • Follow reasonable directions connected with the use of dining areas, the Card Lounge, Card Room or Poker Tables.
  • Allow others to participate, dine and move through shared spaces without unnecessary disruption.
  • Take account of the mixed experience levels of guests attending social card activities.
  • Use venue furnishings, tables and other property with reasonable care.
  • Raise concerns calmly with a host or staff member rather than escalating a situation with other guests.

Safety, comfort and venue care

Please take reasonable care of yourself, your companions, personal belongings and venue property while attending. The Hidden Parlour may respond to behaviour that compromises safety, comfort or the reasonable operation of a dining or card-focused space.

Visitors remain responsible for their own belongings and for making choices appropriate to their circumstances. Shared enjoyment depends on considerate use of the spaces provided.

Comfort and care of the shared venue matter throughout every visit.

Guest privacy and images

Please respect the privacy of other guests. Where appropriate, seek permission before capturing or sharing identifiable images of another person, particularly during a social card experience or private arrangement. Any confirmed operational guidance may be recorded as [insert venue photography guidance].

  • Use good judgement before recording or sharing material that identifies another guest.
  • Read the site’s Privacy Policy for information about website and personal-information handling.
04

Events and private arrangements

Hosted events and social card evenings

Advertised Offline Poker Nights, social card evenings and other hosted events may carry additional conditions that are clearly presented with the relevant event information. Check the available event details before attending, including the stated date, timing, attendance requirements, accessibility information and any conditions specific to that occasion. Event-specific terms apply alongside these general terms where they are clearly identified.

  • Confirm the event information relevant to your planned attendance.
  • Review any participation or arrival guidance attached to the event.
  • Use [insert event confirmation process] where confirmation is required.

Private functions and Private Card Room requests

The Hidden Parlour may consider private functions and Private Card Room options for groups and corporate guests. An enquiry does not create a confirmed function or private arrangement until the relevant details are agreed and confirmed by the venue. Before treating an arrangement as settled, visitors should check the information confirmed for their occasion.

  • Expected guest numbers and the requested venue space.
  • Timing, accessibility needs and relevant dietary information.
  • Any specific arrangements or conditions confirmed for the event.
05

Website, updates and legal enquiries

Website information and availability

The Hidden Parlour website provides general information about restaurant dining, menus, Offline Poker, the Card Lounge, Poker Tables, events, private functions, gallery content and reservations. Reasonable efforts may be made to keep information current, but details can change and the website does not guarantee availability for a particular visit or arrangement.

Please confirm material details directly with the venue before relying on website information for travel, attendance, a booking or a private arrangement. This is especially important where timing, access or event information matters to your plans.

  • Read any separate terms presented by an external website or service before using it.
